About The Role:

A top-tier and prestigious architecture and design practice recognised for their innovative and forward-thinking projects across the globe is seeking an experienced and team-focused Senior Technical Architect to join its expanding Zurich team. The practice unites a diverse group of creative professionals to shape projects that redefine international design excellence.

In this role, you will work closely with the senior management team to deliver high-profile, large-scale projects across Switzerland and Europe, while assisting in the mentoring and development of junior team members. You will also liaise with external stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate drawing packages and documentation from concept through to construction
• Build and refine detailed 3D models to support evolving design ideas
• Provide technical input, detailing, and quality control throughout all project phases
• Bring forward innovative ideas and solutions to complex design challenges
• Present multiple design concepts that align with the overall project vision
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery
• Support and mentor junior architects, fostering collaboration and professional growth
• Ensure drawings, models, and presentations meet studio standards and quality benchmarks

Key Skills / Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture (ETH/FH or international equivalent)
• 8+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally working on large-scale or complex projects, experience with airport or infrastructure projects is an advantage
• Strong communication skills in German and English, spoken and written, as client meetings are held in German
• Proficiency in Revit/BIM; experience with Rhino and Adobe Suite advantageous
• In-depth understanding of Swiss building codes and planning processes
• Strong and technical design ability with high attention to detail
• Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative in your approach
