Duratec is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to join its growing WA team, delivering high-impact remediation projects across Perth.
This site-based role is ideal for someone with proven expertise in concrete repair, waterproofing, and refurbishment works, overseeing operations from planning through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of concrete remediation and waterproofing scopes within refurbishment projects
- Develop and manage construction programs focused on structural repair and protection
- Prepare and review subcontractor claims, variations, and technical documentation (ITPs, SWMS, RFIs)
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards, especially in high-risk waterproofing and repair environments
- Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors across concrete repair, tiling, façade upgrades, and roof works
- Liaise with clients to ensure refurbishment projects meet program and quality expectations
- Support tendering and estimation for concrete and waterproofing packages
- Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
Prior experience overseeing concrete repair and waterproofing works within refurbishment projects is crucial to this role, along with an understanding of new construction and refurbishment project methodologies.
- 5+ years managing remediation projects with a strong focus on concrete repair and waterproofing.
- Strong understanding of refurbishment methodologies including; façade restoration, tiling, painting, and structural upgrades.
- Proven leadership in coordinating site teams and subcontractors.
- Strong safety culture and commercial acumen, especially in defect rectification and waterproofing systems.
- Contract awareness, cost tracking and programming experience.
- Ability to resolve technical challenges and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines.
