HR Generalist - Corporate
Our client, a leading financial services company with global operations, has partnered with Re:work to hire an HR Generalist (initial Two-Year Fixed Term Contract, with strong potential for permanency).
Role Summary:
This is a hands-on generalist role supporting a busy HR team that's driving real change in a fast-growing business. You'll work alongside the Head of People & Senior HRBP, getting involved across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, reporting, and HR projects. Our client is a well-established financial services business operating internationally. After a period of significant growth, they're now building the infrastructure needed to support their expanding operations. The HR function is led by a collaborative team that values open communication, pragmatism, and getting things done. They're building a reliable, reputable HR presence that supports corporate functions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support end-to-end recruitment including coordinating interviews, conducting references, liaising with hiring managers, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new joiners
- Provide employee relations support, assist with ER cases, prepare minutes and correspondence, and coordinate occupational health referrals
- Support performance management processes including evaluations, feedback, goal-setting, and monitoring completion metrics
- Provide guidance on HR policies, proactively review and update procedures in response to legislative changes, and ensure compliance with GDPR and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives, schedule training sessions, manage attendance, and gather feedback
- Support annual student internship and graduate actuarial recruitment programmes, including university liaison, campus events, and careers fairs
- Support cyclical HR processes such as year-end pay review, bonus programmes, promotions, and succession planning
- Compile HR performance metrics, monitor absence/headcount/attrition data, create reports for senior management, and collaborate with payroll
- Support employee engagement, wellness, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement projects
- Build relationships across the business, act as a trusted HR contact, and help establish HR as a credible, responsive partner
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate degree in a related discipline
- CIPD qualification or membership
- Minimum 4 years' experience in an HR generalist role
- Experience in professional services, financial services, or a similar corporate environment (beneficial)
- Excellent administration and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – you'll be drafting emails, policies, and correspondence
- Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment legislation
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using SuccessFactors (advantageous)
- Polished, professional demeanor with the ability to build credibility across all levels
- Pragmatic, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Someone who's curious, willing to learn, and looking to grow professionally
What's On Offer
