Harmonics recruitment is currently hiring for an Assistant Project manager for a renewable energy company in the Mid West. The role is a two year contract and is an excellent opportunity for someone motivated in starting or furthering a career in the renewable energy sector.
As an assistant project manager your role will be flexible and varied and will involve:
- Assisting the Project Management Team in the day-to-day aspects of project management for a significant pipeline of wind and solar developments
- Support and assistance in the successful delivery and coordination of environmental resources
- Critically review project documentation, track project programme & risk, to ensure project viability
- Identifying and escalating issues as they arise, while being proactive and solution oriented with good attention to detail
- Consulting with 3rd party consultants, Local Authorities, Statutory bodies, An Bord Pleanála and joint venture partners
- Onsite supervision of 3rd party consultants, where required
What do I need?
Ideal candidates will have or possess the following:
- A degree and / or higher qualification in Environmental Science, Natural Science, Engineering or a related discipline
- Large project development experience, desirably in the renewable energy sector
- Knowledge of / experience in environmental assessments for wind and solar projects would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of planning and consenting process would be beneficial
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate initiative and self-motivation and must take on ownership of tasks and challenges
- 2 to 4 years’ experience working in renewable energy, onshore or similar industries
- Ability to manage own workload and meet demanding timescales on a number of projects
- Full, clean driving licence
- Commitment to continued professional development
