About the Organization

The Role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will contribute to improving models that detect unusual or suspicious transactions. You will work on rule-based models and support the long-term transition to more advanced techniques such as machine learning. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will directly impact the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize transaction monitoring models that analyze behavioral and transaction patterns.
- Integrate new data sources and collaborate with subject-matter experts to make informed model choices.
- Mentor and support team members by promoting best practices and maintaining a consistent way of working.
- Act as a liaison to stakeholders and management, providing a clear overview of the analytics landscape.
- Deliver production-ready models with high-quality code and ensure alignment with IT, architecture, and business stakeholders.

Your Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- MSc or PhD in Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI, ideally working with large datasets.
- Proficient in Python, PySpark, and Spark; experience with Azure Databricks is a plus.
- Proven experience in deploying data science models into production environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
