What You’ll Do

As a Full-Stack Developer with a strong backend focus in the Wallet & Disbursements team, you will design and build scalable APIs and backend services critical to Rapyd’s digital wallet infrastructure. While your core responsibilities will revolve around backend development, you will also contribute to frontend interfaces and tooling as needed. Your work will help ensure the integrity, reliability, and security of financial operations across a global fintech platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop robust backend APIs for transaction processing, disbursements, and wallet services.
• Ensure data integrity and transactional consistency across distributed microservices.
• Build and maintain backend infrastructure that powers financial workflows at scale.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration test cases to ensure code reliability and coverage.
• Support frontend development for tools or dashboards using React (as needed).
• Integrate with external banking and payment systems to support global operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, performant solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions, design reviews, and agile development processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring uptime and reliability.
  
  

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking developers who are primarily backend-focused but comfortable contributing to frontend codebases, especially in React.

Must-Haves

• 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on backend systems.
• Proficiency in Node.js and MySQL, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and RESTful API design.
• Experience in microservices architecture within high-throughput environments.
• Familiarity with frontend development and frameworks (React preferred).
• Solid foundation in backend architecture, particularly in fintech or transactional domains.
  
  

Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on experience working with digital wallets, gateways, and financial systems.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka/Aws EventBridge).
• Exposure to cloud-native services (AWS), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Awareness of security, compliance, and reconciliation in financial platforms.
• Proficiency with React and its ecosystem is a plus, especially for full-stack contributions.
