One of my clients is looking for an AI Engineer - New York City, NY AND San Francisco, CA (Onsite) for a contract role.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this role. Only W2, 1099, or C2C (own corporation) candidates may apply.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering and AI/ML development
• Advanced proficiency in Python for production environments
• Strong background in system architecture and scalable software design
• Experience designing, training, and deploying machine learning models
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle management tools (e.g., MLflow, DVC)
• Proven experience deploying ML solutions in cloud environments
• Hands-on exposure to large language models (LLMs) and large-scale AI systems
• Demonstrated ability to build distributed, production-ready ML applications
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Clear and effective communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in collaborative team settings
