In this role, you will collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, manage dependencies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Position Description
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives).
- Guide teams to deliver high-quality solutions by removing impediments and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective backlog management and delivery alignment.
- Facilitate Program Increments (PI) planning, risk identification and mitigation (ROAMing risks), and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Coordinate production releases with development team leads, QA, and DevOps, and providing deployment status to business owners.
- Track and report on key metrics such as velocity, burn-down/burn-up charts, and team health indicators.
- Drive Agile maturity and adoption across the organization through coaching and training.
- Identify and resolve systemic issues affecting delivery and productivity.
- Promote Agile best practices and help evolve frameworks like Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban based on team needs.
- Facilitate cross-team coordination and ensure alignment on shared goals and dependencies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively with business representatives, SMEs, technical teams, and project managers on development projects during all phases of the software development life cycle.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
- Strong presentation skills and client presence.
- Ability to analyze and think quickly to resolve conflict
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification (e.g., PSM, SAFe Scrum Master)
