VFX Artist – Games & VR
Location: Remote (Brazil)

With acclaimed titles on mobile and Meta Quest as well as a global community, they're dedicated to creating immersive, emotionally charged experiences that captivate players and push creative boundaries.
Role Overview:
Looking for a talented and detail-oriented VFX Artist to help define the visual feel, impact, and polish of interactive experiences. This role is responsible for creating high-quality real-time visual effects that enhance gameplay clarity, immersion, and emotional impact — from moment-to-moment feedback to large-scale environmental effects. This role is ideal for someone who understands how VFX supports gameplay, readability, and performance, and who enjoys working closely with designers, engineers, and artists to bring ideas to life. You’ll have a high degree of ownership over how effects look, feel, and perform in a real-time environment.
What You'll Do:
- Design and create real-time VFX for gameplay, environments, UI feedback, and character abilities.
- Build effects using Unity’s VFX tools (VFX Graph, Shader Graph, particle systems) or equivalent real-time pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with game designers to ensure VFX supports gameplay clarity, player feedback, and immersion.
- Work with engineers to integrate effects into gameplay systems and ensure technical stability.
- Optimize VFX for real-time performance, balancing visual quality with frame rate constraints.
- Iterate quickly based on playtests, feedback, and creative direction.
- Develop and maintain reusable VFX systems, prefabs, and workflows.
- Help establish and uphold a consistent visual effects style and quality bar across the project.
Who You Are:
- Professional experience as a VFX Artist in games, VR, or real-time interactive applications.
- Strong understanding of real-time VFX principles, including timing, readability, color, motion, and impact.
- Hands-on experience with Unity VFX tools (VFX Graph, Particle System, Shader Graph) or comparable engines.
- Ability to work within performance constraints and optimize effects for real-time rendering.
- Strong artistic eye combined with technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with designers, artists, and engineers in a production environment.
- Familiarity with version control and asset pipelines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience creating VFX for VR or immersive experiences.
- Shader development experience (HLSL or node-based workflows).
- Experience with physics-driven or procedural effects.
- Familiarity with Houdini or other procedural content tools.
- Experience shipping live or iterative products where effects evolve over time.
- Passion for games, interactive media, or immersive storytelling.
