We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights that help drive strategic business decisions. You will collaborate closely with various departments to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the business.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between financial targets and business operations.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases, financial evaluations, and investment analyses for new projects or initiatives.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes, tools, and systems to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar financial role.
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis techniques and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, financial modeling) and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Familiarity with accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Desired Skills (Optional):
  • Certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are a plus.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of financial software tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Hyperion).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and cloud-based financial tools.
  • Experience in business intelligence or data analytics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations specific to Australia or the APAC region.
