We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Initiation Systems Division who will be responsible for the end-to-end performance, safety, and compliance of the company’s initiation systems business. This role holds personal authority for safety-critical decisions and ensures all products are technically sound, compliant, and deliverable to military customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own P&L and divisional performance, including budget, cost control, margins, and delivery targets.
  • Act as final safety authority, ensuring safe design, manufacture, storage, transport, and use of all products.
  • Execute approved product roadmaps, managing requirements, configuration, and lifecycle.
  • Lead technical execution and integration of initiation systems, firing circuits, and safety mechanisms.
  • Ensure manufacturing readiness, production quality, and resolution of deviations.
  • Guarantee regulatory and military compliance, including explosives regulations, ADR, and audits.
  • Own delivery execution, confirming readiness before contract acceptance and leading recovery actions.
  • Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a strong safety and accountability culture.
  • Support bids and customer trials, blocking unsafe or undeliverable commitments.


Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or degree in Explosives, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering (energetics focus) or Applied Physics.
  • Proven experience in defense, energetics, or other safety-critical industries.
  • 5+ years in senior technical or divisional leadership roles.
  • Hands-on experience with initiation systems, detonators, firing circuits, and safety mechanisms.
  • Strong authority in safety critical decision-making and risk management.
  • Solid knowledge of explosives regulations, ADR, and military qualification standards.
  • Experience with audits (MoD, ISO, AQAP).
  • Ability to stop production or delivery for safety reasons.
  • Eligibility for national security clearance.
  • Fluent in English and Lithuanian (written and spoken).
