About The Role

We’re seeking a customer-obsessed Data Scientist to join our dynamic data team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in statistical analysis and machine learning to solve complex business problems, translate data into actionable insights, and influence strategic decision-making across the organization. Your work will directly impact product innovation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, aligning with Sandisk’s mission to push the boundaries of technology and data-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models, conducting exploratory data analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions that drive business growth. You will stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and data science, proposing innovative approaches and ensuring the robustness and scalability of our models. Your ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or related fields
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or an equivalent quantitative discipline
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and management
• Expertise in Python and/or R for data analysis and modeling
• Solid understanding of core machine learning algorithms, principles, and model validation techniques
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Deep knowledge of statistical hypothesis testing, experimental design, and multivariate analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical findings to diverse audiences
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into technical solutions

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy machine learning models to address business challenges and opportunities
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform strategic decisions
• Collaborate with Data Architects to build robust data pipelines and create impactful features for modeling
• Communicate complex methodologies and results through presentations and visualizations for stakeholders at all levels
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deploy models into production environments
• Stay current with emerging trends and advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling, proposing innovative solutions as appropriate
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the modeling process
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing model performance and refining algorithms accordingly
