Job Title: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect (6-Month Contract)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead a critical 6-month infrastructure modernization project in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing scalable cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into secure, cost-effective cloud solutions while ensuring compliance with Qatar’s data sovereignty and security regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture Design: Design and implement secure, high-availability, and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions (IaaS/PaaS) aligned with project goals.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Migration Strategy: Execute "Lift and Shift" or re-factoring migration strategies for legacy on-premise applications to the cloud.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all architecture complies with Qatar National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) guidelines and internal security policies (IAM, Encryption, VPC hardening).
• Container Orchestration: Architect and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE).
• Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud utilization and implement FinOps best practices to optimize monthly spend without compromising performance.
• Stakeholder Management: Work closely with DevOps engineers, developers, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 4 years dedicated to Cloud Architecture.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Cloud Platforms: Expert-level proficiency in AWS or Azure (Multi-cloud experience is a plus).
• IaC Tools: Strong proficiency in Terraform (State management, Modules).
• CI/CD: Experience building pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Scripting: Proficient in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Certifications (Must have at least one):
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, fluency in English (verbal and written), and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
