The Assistant Manager- Global IP & Ethernet

Engineering is a position within Tata Communications, based in the (CNGCS) team

and reporting to the GVPN India Network Lead. This is an individual contributor

role responsible for performing Network planning and engineering functions.

Part of a high-performance team with strong technical/domain

knowledge, good communication, project management and documentation skills. Working

with Network, Systems, Operations, Project and Business teams. Supporting

technical queries on the network and services and act as part of the L4

escalation support to the Operations team during P1/P2 network events.

  • Support and work on Software Defined Networking (SDN) & Network hardware platform strategies.
  • Drive the use of and efficiencies of automation for network services using Network Service Orchestration (NSO) tools or applications.
  • Document and brief system architecture and changes to the NSO & Network infra.
  • Develop automated test suites and frameworks for hardware & services.
  • Perform service discovery and reconcilliation of Network services on Network Services Orchestrator platform.
  • Co-ordinate with internal and external teams within the organization for new or existing node integration/optimization/life-cycle planning.
  • Understand the existing and new Network Services and prepare the business logic and service templates for the same from time to time.
  • Network planning: New device testing, New service testing, Device lifecycle planning
  • Work with OEM/Vendors/Internal/Operation teams to deliver the end project objectives.
  • Able to independently work on assigned project within minimal supervision.
