  • Develop and implement a global sourcing strategy for polyolefins, taking into account market trends, price developments, and regional requirements.
  • Select, evaluate, and further develop strategic supplier partnerships, and lead international contract and price negotiations.
  • Manage projects to optimize costs, supply security, quality, and innovation.
  • Analyze global raw material markets and relevant indices (e.g., ICIS) and prepare reports for global leadership.
  • Identify value creation opportunities through alternative raw materials, new technologies, or process improvements.
  • Ensure stable global raw material supply, including active risk management.
  • Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to operationalize the procurement strategy.
  • Support sustainability and ESG goals through responsible, future-oriented procurement.

What makes you great

  • Completed degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement or category management, ideally in the plastics, chemical, or manufacturing industry.
  • Solid knowledge of polyolefins or other polymers and an understanding of relevant value chains.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with global market indices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a confident presence in an international work environment.
  • Proficient in modern procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and digital analytics tools.
  • A role based at our headquarters in Hard (Austria) is preferred due to the need for regular on-site presence and collaboration with global stakeholders, though partial remote work may be considered depending on the candidate's profile.
