We are recruiting a half-time Research Assistant for Dr. Jeremy Land’s University of Helsinki Rector-funded Project "QuILT: Quantifying Illicit and Licit Trade in the Early Modern Economy " at the University of Helsinki. This project runs until the end of 2026, and the assistantship will last for 10 months. The project seeks to create datasets tracking trade going to and from Stockholm and Amsterdam from 1750-1775. The research assistant will help to build these datasets using sources already collected by the PI and postdoc in the project.

Requirements For The Position And Assessment Of Qualifications
The task requires:
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- An interest in economic and/or maritime history
- Dutch and/or Swedish language knowledge (basic or reading level)
