As a Summer Trainee in Group Human Resources - Rewarding & Global Mobility, you will support our team in implementing various global reward and mobility initiatives. Your responsibilities will include coordinating tasks, producing materials, preparing data analysis, and ensuring smooth delivery of our global portfolio. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to strategic initiatives that support our global people priorities.
As a Summer Trainee – Rewarding and Global Mobility, you will:
An exciting position in the Global Rewarding & Mobility team in Metso’s Group Human Resources. Our current agenda includes topics such as Global Compensation and Benefits, Pay Equity and Transparency, Job Architecture, Global Incentives and Global Mobility. This position offers excellent opportunities to gain expertise and understanding of reward and mobility while collaborating with internal stakeholders worldwide.
We offer you an interesting and challenging position in a truly global company. You’ll work on meaningful projects in a supportive environment where your ideas and contributions matter. Many of our summer trainees continue their employment with us part-time, full-time, or with their thesis after the summer.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2130-2970 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.

- Support activities related to Rewarding and Global Mobility
- Assist in designing and developing global learning materials and presentations, such as Global Pay Equity training
- Help with preparations for international assignments, including drafting contracts and preparing social security applications
- Participate in people data reporting and analytics tasks
- You are progressing in your studies in HR or a related field and have a strong interest in reward and global mobility.
- Previous experience in any of the areas mentioned above is considered an advantage.
- You bring fresh ideas, enjoy teamwork, and take initiative in your work.
- Good skills in MS Office tools, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on attitude with a curious approach to new challenges and problem-solving.
- Service-oriented mindset and ability to work proactively, systematically, and independently.
- Fluent spoken and written English skills.
