Senior Project Manager | Cologne | Hybrid (On-site 2/3 days a week) | Permanent
Our client are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the contracting phase of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects and ensure successful achievement of Financial Close. This is a pivotal role, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full ownership of the contracting phase of BESS projects, driving timely achievement of Financial Close.
- Lead the project team in a matrix structure, ensuring alignment and execution of key project agreements.
- Coordinate and interface with internal teams (Development, Procurement, Origination, Financing) and external stakeholders to meet all project requirements.
- Oversee interface management between critical agreements, including permits, procurement, offtake, financing, and land lease.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, providing proactive solutions to maintain project success.
- Mentor and guide the project team to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience, including at least 5 years in project management within energy, infrastructure, or large-scale projects.
- Electrical Engineering background is preferable.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex contracts and achieving Financial Close.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
- Strong organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure.
