About Minimal AI

We’re building AI agents that resolve customer support tickets for e-commerce businesses autonomously, end-to-end. They cancel orders, issue refunds, check inventory, talk to suppliers, and continuously improve.

To make this scalable, we’re building an AI Manager: a higher-level agent that trains, monitors, and optimizes Support Agents with minimal human input — effectively an AI-run support team. We’re a YC-backed company.

Role: Full Stack Engineer

We’re looking to hire two Full Stack Engineers, each with a different primary focus:

- Product / frontend-focused engineer

- Backend / systems / AI-focused engineer

Both roles are full stack and you’ll work across the entire system, but you’ll lean strongly toward one of these areas.

## Product / Frontend-Focused Engineer

You lean toward product, UX, and user experience. You care deeply about how things feel and how users move through the system.

You’ll focus on:

- Building interfaces and workflows for the self-serve AI Manager

- Designing intuitive dashboards, setup flows, and tooling

- Talking to users to understand what’s missing and iterating quickly

- Making complex AI systems feel simple and usable

## Backend / Systems / AI-Focused Engineer

You lean toward systems, AI infrastructure, and reliability. You care about correctness, scalability, and leverage.

You’ll focus on:

- Building the agent runtime and execution layer

- Designing evals, monitoring, and feedback loops

- Integrating with external systems (e-commerce platforms, suppliers, tools)

- Improving reliability, performance, and observability as we scale

What You’ll Do (Both Roles)

- Ship production features across the stack

- Own features end-to-end, from idea to rollout

- Work in tight loops: **build → test → measure → refine**

- Use AI tools daily (Cursor, Claude, etc.) and push them further:

 - automate glue work

 - generate scaffolding

 - build evals

 - multiply your own output

- Take ownership of outcomes, not tickets

- Intro Call – 30 mins with a founder  

- Deep Dive – 45 mins on product & technical fit  

- Technical Interview – 60 mins coding & design challenge  

- Onsite Co-Work – Build and ship a real feature with us
