We’re looking for a Java Developer to join a Scrum team working on the development and maintenance of complex, business-critical applications. You’ll work across both existing and newly built environments, contributing to standardised, high-quality solutions used at scale.

You’ll collaborate closely with other developers and testers, take ownership of your development environments, and help improve delivery pipelines, tooling and application design.

• Hours: 38 per week
• Design, build and maintain Java-based backend applications
• Work with modern development pipelines, tooling and environments
• Contribute to standardised application architecture and reusable models
• Collaborate closely with testers and fellow developers in Agile/Scrum teams
• Develop solutions in both established and newly set up environments
• Supported by a senior developer while taking ownership of your own work

About you

• HBO or university degree in IT, Computer Science or similar
• 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Strong experience with modern Java (Java 8+)
• Solid understanding of Spring-based frameworks
• Experience working with relational databases and persistence layers
• Comfortable building and consuming APIs and services
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum or DevOps environments
• Familiar with CI/CD tooling and automated deployment is a plus
• Experience with enterprise middleware or application servers is an advantage
