Your Role:

As a Backend Team Lead, you will drive the architectural direction, development, and optimization of our backend systems. You’ll lead a team of skilled developers while staying hands-on with complex backend challenges. Your role will focus on ensuring the scalability, reliability, and high performance of systems that handle millions of requests per day.

You will:

• Lead, mentor, and guide backend developers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Oversee system architecture decisions and ensure best engineering practices
• Design, develop, and optimize APIs with high traffic and strict performance requirements
• Integrate external services and APIs, ensuring seamless and secure communication
• Analyze existing systems for bottlenecks and lead critical optimization initiatives

Your Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in PHP/Laravel and RESTful API development
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
• Strong proficiency in SQL and handling high-volume, high-performance databases
• Solid understanding of Docker, Git, and modern development workflows
• Deep knowledge of data structures and system optimization techniques
• Ability to architect and scale backend systems used by millions of users
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
• Curiosity and eagerness to explore new tools and technologies
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

• In-depth knowledge of the Laravel ecosystem
• Experience with event buses and queues for asynchronous communication
• Familiarity with additional programming languages
