Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and environmental protocols are maintained in the workshops, warehouses and office areas of AL TAIF.
- Inspect work areas for potential hazards or noncompliance issues and report the findings to the Supervisor, Technician HSE.
- Advise employees, supervisors and managers on the proper HSE protocols to be implemented in the workplace.
- Train and assist employees and supervisors on how to write a risk assessment, job hazard analysis and assess environmental aspects and impacts for all tasks in the workplace.
- Prepare inspection reports and recommendations.
- Conduct HSE internal training for AL TAIF employees and relevant contractors.
- Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is stored, handled, transported and disposed of in accordance with AL TAIF procedures and UAE regulations.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
- Support other members of the HSE team in fulfilling their roles.
- Perform other duties as required by the Manager, HSE.
- High School Diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred; in a related field would be an advantage.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in a HSE role is required.
- Exposure to a technical program related to industrial safety is preferred.
- The capability to monitor and analyse HSE trends is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software and email correspondence is required.
- The ability to learn governmental regulations with regard to HSE subjects and then apply this knowledge in order to spot safety and environmental deficiencies in the workplace is required.
- An ability to interact with both management and non-management personnel in order to discuss identified deficiencies is required.
- The ability to work independently without direct supervision on a day to day basis is required.
- A good work ethic is required as this position requires the employee to come to work on time every day.
