About Our Client:

Our client is a market-leading Financial Services organisation that is building out its own innovation hub and developing groundbreaking products!

They are based in Abu Dhabi and are working on the Middle East's most revolutionary projects in the financial space using AI/ML!

They are looking for a Cloud Architect who has preferably worked in the financial industry, who can design and manage cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure in Azure and multi cloud environments to ensure optimal efficiency, security, and scalability in line with business objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and align cloud solutions with organizational goals.
• Administer and optimize cloud platforms, focusing on cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.
• Automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi, Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Establish security, compliance, and governance standards for cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
• Provide technical leadership to DevOps and development teams, ensuring effective integration with CI/CD pipelines and expertise with Azure DevOps
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance performance, enforce security best practices, and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with platform and infrastructure security (firewalls, load balancers)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7-10+ years of experience in cloud architecture or engineering
• Expertise in designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructures
• Proficient in public cloud platforms, but predominantly Azure and hybrid/multi-cloud environments
• Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and compliance
• Familiar with containerization, orchestration, and serverless computing
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders
