Role Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will work closely with the development team to enable fast, safe, and reliable software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate AWS cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Drive containerization using Docker and manage the deployment of microservices on Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK.
- Automate operational tasks including deployments, backups, scaling, and routine maintenance.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
- Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, network controls, and secrets management.
- Collaborate with development teams and management to align infrastructure solutions with product and business goals.
- Continuously improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (VPC, IAM, Route 53, EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, ALB/NLB).
- Practical experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation in production.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
- Proficiency with Linux environments, including administration, scripting, and troubleshooting.
- Proven hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and/or Bash.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM design, networking, and access control.
- Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and scale distributed systems in cloud environments.
