We’re early-stage, moving fast, and testing locally while building something designed to scale. We care deeply about usability, clarity, and creating a product people genuinely enjoy using.

The Role

We’re looking for a Full-Stack Product Engineer (UX/UI Focus) to take ownership of Véla’s product experience from end to end.

In this role, you’ll turn product ideas, flows, and requirements into clean, intuitive, and trustworthy interfaces, while also contributing to the underlying systems that make everything work smoothly.

You’ll focus on how the product looks, feels, and behaves for real users — from UX flows and UI components to frontend logic and integrations. You’ll work closely with the founder and a small, hands-on team, iterating quickly based on real feedback and shaping the product as we grow.

You won’t be left alone ! you’ll work with clear product direction, regular feedback, and hands-on guidance as we build and iterate together.

What You’ll Work On:

• Build and implement frontend features and user interfaces

• Translate product flows and requirements into usable screens and components

• Design and refine UX/UI at the execution level

• Build and maintain reusable UI components

• Establish and evolve a simple design system (spacing, colors, typography, components)

• Improve usability, accessibility, and responsiveness

• Contribute to backend logic and integrations where needed

• Identify UX friction and propose thoughtful improvements

• Iterate quickly based on testing and user feedback

Who We’re Looking For:

• 0–5 years of experience in full-stack development, frontend/UX engineering, or product engineering

• Strong UX/UI instincts and high attention to detail

• Comfortable turning product intent into polished, real interfaces

• Experience building component-based UIs (professional, academic, or personal projects)

• Comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-moving environment

• Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating in a small team

• Side projects, student projects, startup experience, or hands-on product work are a big plus

Compensation & Commitment (Important)

This is an early-stage, pre-revenue role

• There is no salary at this stage

• Compensation is equity-based

• Our goal is to introduce paid compensation after initial traction and/or funding milestones

• Part-time commitment initially, with the potential to grow into a paid, long-term role

• We value transparency and want to be clear about this upfront
