UX/UI Design Lead (Contract)
Location: Canada (Remote, Pacific Time)
Work Type: Contract | Hourly
About the Role
We are looking for a UX/UI Design Lead to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences. In this role, you’ll work closely with product and leadership teams, lead design direction, and help shape user-focused digital solutions. You’ll also mentor designers and contribute to innovative design work from concept through delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and inspire designers and key stakeholders
- Design and improve user interfaces for digital platforms
- Create personas, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
- Maintain and evolve a shared design system in Figma
- Conduct usability testing and apply insights to designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design with business goals
- Research user needs and industry trends to inform design decisions
- Prototype and test new ideas before full implementation
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of UX/UI design experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered digital design
- Solid understanding of UX/UI and visual design principles
- Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and related tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience in healthcare or complex digital environments is an asset

- End Date: March 31, 2026
- Extensions: Possible (up to a maximum of 24 months total)
