We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to design and deliver high-impact user experience for self-service kiosks and mobile apps used by millions of customers daily. This role sits at the intersection of customer experience, business growth, and operational efficiency, shaping how customers discover, customize, and order KFC across digital touchpoints.
You will design for speed, conversion, and delight in real-world restaurant environments while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Global UX teams. This role will be a hands-on design role, focused on owning and executing design work end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
1. Experience & Interaction Design
- Own end-to-end UX design for KFC kiosks and mobile app journeys (browse → customize → upsell → pay).
- Design intuitive, fast, and accessible experiences for high-pressure, high-footfall QSR environments.
- Balance brand expression, usability, and conversion goals across platforms.
- Create wireframes, user flows, interaction models, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
2. Menu Structure & Navigation
- Strategically structure the digital menu and information architecture to enable quick discoverability, encourage trial, and reduce decision fatigue.
- Design fast, intuitive, and frictionless kiosk and app flows that work seamlessly across diverse customer profiles and ordering behaviors.
3. Visual Design, Food Imagery, Promotions & Merchandising
- Design engaging idle states, promotional banners, and in-journey visual moments that spark curiosity and drive transactions.
- Apply behavioral and merchandising cues (visual hierarchy, contrast, placement) to recommend complementary items and increase basket value.
- Integrate high-impact, appetite-triggering food visuals to drive desirability and purchase intent.
- Partner closely with content, marketing, and brand teams to optimize asset selection, hierarchy, and placement for maximum visual and commercial impact.
4. Brand Connect, Copy & Personality
- Use crave-amplifying microcopy and visual storytelling to reinforce product desirability, brand tone, and emotional connection.
- Collaborate with brand, marketing, and legal teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all digital touchpoints.
5. Customer-Centric & Data-Driven Design
- Leverage customer insights, analytics and funnel data to inform design decisions.
- Design for diverse Indian user behaviors (language, payment preferences, digital literacy).
- Optimize experiences for order speed, basket size, and error reduction.
- Design UX solutions that directly impact revenue, conversion, and throughput.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a hands-on UX/Product Designer
- Strong portfolio demonstrating direct execution of UX, UI, visual design, and content with proven work on mobile apps, kiosks, or transactional flows
- Strong experience designing consumer-facing digital products
- Strong capability in UX writing / content creation for digital products (microcopy, CTAs, system messages)
- Solid understanding of data analytics for UX, including interpreting dashboards, funnels, and experiment results
- Expertise in UX fundamentals: user research, information architecture, interaction design, usability testing
- Strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving, impact, and outcomes
- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Rapid prototyping tools, emerging AI tools
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Tech, Ops, Brand, Marketing).
Good to Have (Strong Plus)
- Experience in QSR, retail, e-commerce, fintech, or high-scale B2C platforms
- Designing for self-service kiosks or large touch screens
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design
- Exposure to personalization, AI-driven recommendations, or experimentation
- Experience with design systems and global-local adaptation
