Senior DevOps Engineer (Duck Creek)
Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week)
Type: Permanent
Salary: £85,000 basic + benefits package (TBC)
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Duck Creek Platform and Insurance Industry expertise and solid infrastructure and networking skills. This role will work closely with the DevOps Lead and an on-site DevOps Engineer to design, implement and automate complex Duck Creek development, test, pre-production and production environments.
Regular on-site presence in Leeds (ideally 2–3 days per week) is required to collaborate with the team and support environment builds.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven Duck Creek platform experience across development, test and production environments (essential)
- Insurance industry experience is essential
- Strong infrastructure and networking expertise, including:
- Windows Server 2022 and IIS
- Networking and firewall configuration
- F5 load balancers (configuration and troubleshooting)
- SQL Server configuration and tuning
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience
- Experience with on-premise x86 infrastructure and AVS (Azure VMware Solution) environments
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple technical stakeholders
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
Desirable Experience
- Background in insurance or financial services environments
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and additional automation/orchestration tools
- Experience with monitoring, backup and security for enterprise platforms
Working Pattern
- Hybrid model with a preference for 2–3 days per week onsite in Leeds
- Flexibility for remote working on remaining days, depending on project needs
