You will play a critical role in driving innovation and operational excellence at VAQ. You will lead the implementation and management of processes to ensure the proactive development, design, continuous improvement, and maintenance of VAQ’s information systems. This includes overseeing the strategic planning and delivery of software development projects to ensure systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the management of VAQ's information systems and work collaboratively with other staff to ensure up-to-date resources (policies, operational practice guidelines and training) are available to ensure its appropriate use across VAQ.
- Identify, develop, and manage business and systems projects and improvements through to implementation.
- Provide systems advice on the impacts of proposed reform on VAQ operations and develop strategies to support implementation.
- Implement frameworks, systems, and processes to enable information and performance management through statistical analysis and reporting.
- Manage, regulate, and report on business and system improvement activities to effectively manage risks and issues to ensure successful outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other departmental business units and the non-government sector, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of VAQ's information systems.
- Contribute to VAQ's business unit planning including risk management, auditing and financial reconciliation and managing systems business continuity activities.
- Financial, Human Resource and Performance management activities including establishment management, workforce and succession planning, coaching, mentoring and staff supervision.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by supervisory and management staff, adhering to professional standards and organisational objectives.
