Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the management of VAQ's information systems and work collaboratively with other staff to ensure up-to-date resources (policies, operational practice guidelines and training) are available to ensure its appropriate use across VAQ.
- Identify, develop, and manage business and systems projects and improvements through to implementation.
- Provide systems advice on the impacts of proposed reform on VAQ operations and develop strategies to support implementation.
- Implement frameworks, systems, and processes to enable information and performance management through statistical analysis and reporting.
- Manage, regulate, and report on business and system improvement activities to effectively manage risks and issues to ensure successful outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other departmental business units and the non-government sector, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of VAQ's information systems.
- Contribute to VAQ's business unit planning including risk management, auditing and financial reconciliation and managing systems business continuity activities.
- Financial, Human Resource and Performance management activities including establishment management, workforce and succession planning, coaching, mentoring and staff supervision.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by supervisory and management staff, adhering to professional standards and organisational objectives.
