QE Lead – Mobile Apps Consulting Engagement

Engagement model: Client embedded, full time, hybrid (3 days onsite)

About the Opportunity

CloudMarc is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to join one of our major enterprise clients as a trusted consulting partner within their Mobile Apps domain.

This is not a traditional line management role, and it is not a delivery only testing position.

You will operate as a CloudMarc consultant embedded full time with the client, playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing the mobile automation strategy across iOS, Android, and supporting digital platforms. You will influence how quality is designed, measured, and continuously improved, while remaining hands on in the areas that matter.

The role is suited to someone who enjoys owning outcomes, influencing senior stakeholders, uplifting capability, and driving tangible efficiency and quality improvements through automation.

What You Will Be Doing

• Act as the Quality Engineering lead for Mobile Apps, owning automation strategy and approach across iOS, Android, and supporting web components
• Provide thought leadership on modern QE practices, test automation architecture, and continuous improvement
• Design, implement, and evolve mobile automation frameworks that deliver real value and reduce manual effort
• Work hands on where required, including framework design, complex automation scenarios, and solving delivery bottlenecks
• Influence delivery teams, architects, and leaders on how quality should be embedded into ways of working
• Identify improvement opportunities and actively drive implementation rather than just recommending change
• Mentor and uplift testers and engineers through coaching, pairing, and practical guidance
• Partner closely with CloudMarc and client leadership to demonstrate measurable improvements in quality, speed, and efficiency

What This Role Is Not

• Not a people management role with formal direct reports
• Not a passive advisory role with no delivery accountability
• Not a short term engagement focused only on test execution

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For

• Strong background as a QE Lead, Automation Lead, or senior test consultant within mobile application environments
• Deep hands on experience with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Playwright, Selenium, or similar
• Proven experience testing iOS and Android applications, including real device and emulator strategies
• Ability to design automation approaches that align to CI/CD pipelines and modern Agile delivery models
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing technical and non technical audiences
• Consulting mindset with a strong bias toward action, delivery, and measurable improvement
