Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior IP Telephony Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot modern unified communications and telephony platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. This role requires deep expertise in Zoom Phone / Zoom Contact Center, Cisco Voice Gateways, and SIP-based VoIP solutions, along with strong skills in MDM administration (JAMF, Microsoft Intune) for endpoint security and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

Unified Communications & Telephony Design

  • Architect and deploy VoIP and Unified Communication solutions, including:
  • Zoom Phone / Zoom Contact Center
  • Cisco On-Prem IP PBX and SBC Platforms
  • Design and optimize:
  • Call flows, auto-attendants, hunt groups, queues, voicemail, IVR, and contact center routing.
  • Collaborate with network teams to ensure:
  • Proper QoS configuration
  • Bandwidth planning
  • End-to-end voice quality assurance.

Operations, Support & Troubleshooting

  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex telephony and UC incidents.
  • Monitor and maintain:
  • SIP trunks, SBCs, and carrier interconnects.
  • Zoom voice workloads (devices, policies, dial plans).
  • Cisco IP PBX instances and voice gateways.
  • Yealink IP Phones.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting using:
  • SIP traces, logs, and monitoring tools.
  • Execute MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) for users, numbers, call flows, and devices.

Customer Engagement & Delivery

  • Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to:
  • Gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Recommend best practices for Zoom and overall UC strategy.
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors for:
  • Provisioning
  • Number porting
  • Incident resolution.

Documentation & Governance

  • Create and maintain:
  • High-Level Designs (HLDs)
  • Low-Level Configurations (LLDs)
  • Operational runbooks.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of:
  • Telephony devices
  • Numbers
  • Licenses
  • Services.

MDM & Endpoint Management

  • Administer JAMF for macOS device management and security compliance.
  • Manage Microsoft Intune for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Deploy software and patches across enterprise endpoints.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to:
  • Windows Group Policy
  • macOS policies
  • Security patches.
  • Ensure compliance and vulnerability remediation across global endpoints.
