The Role\ \ We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with AI experience to help build and scale the core systems that power Pasito’s AI workspace.
This role is for an engineer who enjoys working across backend systems, data pipelines, and user-facing features - and who is excited about building production-grade AI workflows into real products. You’ll own features end-to-end, from system design and APIs to AI integrations and product surfaces.
As an early member of the engineering team, you’ll have real ownership and influence: shaping architecture, defining standards, and building systems that carriers, brokers, and employers rely on every day.
What You’ll Do
Develop AI-native workflows\ Build and integrate AI and LLM-powered systems for extracting, structuring, and reasoning over complex benefits data.
Own backend and data-heavy systems\ Design scalable services, data models, and pipelines that support accuracy, performance, and long-term maintainability.
Build end-to-end product systems\ Design, implement, and ship features across backend services, APIs, data layers, and frontend integrations that power Pasito’s platform.
Collaborate cross-functionally\ Work closely with Product, Design, Sales, and Client teams to understand customer workflows and translate them into durable technical solutions.
Continuously improve systems\ Refine existing architecture, reduce operational complexity, and help define what “great” looks like as the platform scales.

Who You Are
- A full stack engineer with 3+ years of experience building complex web applications
- Comfortable owning backend systems and APIs, while collaborating closely on frontend experiences
- Experienced integrating AI / LLM-powered systems into real products
- Curious, adaptable, and energized by working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- A collaborative partner to product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Strong experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend (Node.js)
- Experience building and operating backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
- Hands-on experience working with AI / LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) in production systems
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js
- Experience with testing, observability, and maintaining production systems
- Experience integrating with third-party systems or complex data sources
