Overall Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by establishing, maintaining, and enhancing long-term customer relationships.
  • Act as a single point of contact for small to medium sized clients.
  • Deliver on overall revenue budget for assigned portfolio.
  • Identify customer needs/market opportunities and grow revenue share across the portfolio.
  • Prepare written quotations and use your selling skills to convert enquiries to orders.
  • Liaise with other SWIFT divisions/departments, commercial team manager and members in order to provide a coordinated service and integrated solution to assigned customers.
  • Assist more senior Commercial Managers in the development of plans for medium sized accounts/infrastructure or initiatives, in order to achieve targeted sales objectives in an optimal, cost-beneficial way.
  • Assist in representing SWIFT in promoting products and services by participating to regional fairs, forums, meetings.
  • Feedback internally market intelligence, customer feedback, product issues and other relevant information.
  • Acquire and maintain market, product and services knowledge.


Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • A first experience is an asset but not mandatory
  • You have worked ( or willing to) in a corporate or commercial bank, consulting firm or a payments vendor working in the cash management, payments or securities space.
  • Commercial acumen: the position will include many customer contacts and will require a good understanding of the issues they face and a methodology of how to position appropriate solutions effectively and in a compelling manner.
  • Customer orientation: making customers and their needs a primary focus of ones actions.
  • Problem solving: can translate complex needs into appropriate solutions while remaining sensitive to the complexities of the business.
  • Flexibility/adaptability: can-do attitude. We will need to react quickly to identified opportunities.
  • Polished presentation, interpersonal and networking skills; acknowledges and respects other views.
  • Keen to learn and willing to get involved in a wide variety of projects.
  • Passionate self-starter with the drive to achieve and surpass objective.
  • Languages: proficiency in both spoken and written English and French (mother language preferred) – CV in English mandatory.


Ideal candidates will have:

  • Understanding of SWIFT’s role within the payments industry.
  • Experience in sales, product management or operations.
  • Insights and opinions into the use of financial technologies such as APIs, AI, machine learning, Blockchain/DLT, etc.
  • Knowledge of correspondent banking, cash management, payments, financial crime compliance, messaging standards, referential data.
  • Accountability for delivering results. Makes choices and decisions based on established practices and precedents; delivers results by overcoming a range of obstacles and issues and where timing may be critical.
  • Understanding of how different divisions contribute to meeting SWIFT's business objectives; understands market drivers of success and encourages changes to improve offerings while optimising commercial performance.
  • Team focus: initiates effective co-operation and team working with others; provides support to team members; appreciates style and background differences; demonstrates commitment to SWIFT values.
