IBM Product Manager

Leading Software Maintenance Company | Dublin

The Role

Elevate Partners are partnered with a global leading Software Maintenance Provider who are seeking an experienced IBM Product Manager to take ownership of our core IBM-focused product and services offering. As the first dedicated Product Manager for this area, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term strategy, growth, and commercial success of a product suite serving Global 2000 enterprise clients.

This is a highly visible role requiring a strong entrepreneurial mindset, deep market understanding, and the ability to translate customer and commercial needs into a clear, executable product roadmap. While the company is headquartered in Dublin, this role is open to remote candidates outside of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Own and drive the end-to-end product strategy and operational roadmap for IBM-related services, aligned to both product and business lifecycle phases (planning, development, launch, optimisation, and exit).

Ensure strategic alignment between commercial objectives, customer needs, and product execution.

Customer & Market Expertise

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and technical teams to define user personas, use cases, user stories, and detailed product requirements.

Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable product enhancements and support offerings.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate across engineering, sales, marketing, alliances, and customer success teams to ensure strong alignment, optimise margins, and deliver against product and revenue targets.

Influence without authority, ensuring stakeholders across the value chain are aligned to the product vision and execution plan.

Go-To-Market & Commercial Enablement

Support go-to-market planning and execution, ensuring internal teams are fully enabled to position and sell the product effectively.

Work closely with commercial teams to ensure product value propositions resonate with enterprise customers.

Performance & Metrics

Own and monitor key performance indicators including revenue, margins, market share, quality metrics, customer segments, and quarterly/annual financial targets.

Use data-driven insights to guide prioritisation and decision-making.

Stakeholder Communication

Deliver clear, compelling presentations to sales teams, customer operations, and enterprise customers, articulating product features, benefits, and strategic rationale.

Communicate complex product decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Pre-Sales & IBM Expertise

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to pre-sales teams on IBM software products and licensing, supporting the sales cycle through technical guidance, objection handling, and deal structuring.

Partner with commercial teams on complex enterprise engagements to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years’ experience in a Product Manager role, with a proven track record of delivering commercially impactful products.

Strong experience working with technology and engineering teams to define and execute product roadmaps aligned to business goals.

Deep understanding of IBM software products and licensing models within enterprise environments.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to make decisions independently.

Highly analytical, with demonstrated experience using both qualitative insights and quantitative data to inform product strategy.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience operating in complex, cross-functional environments.
