ML Engineer

12 month Contract

2 days per week onsite (Ireland)

Outside IR35

On behalf of my client, I am looking for a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer who is experienced with designing, building, deploying, and supporting advanced data science and machine learning solutions.

You will work across their IT and Business teams located in the USA, to help them understand data as a strategic asset, delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing ML solutions aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.

It is an expectation that you will demonstrate working independently, applying leading data, analytics, and software engineering techniques while continuously learning and evolving your craft.

You will need to be technically strong, business-minded, a problem solver who thrives in complex environments and enjoys mentoring others.

Technical Skills & Experience required:

• Strong foundation in data science, machine learning, and software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and R.
• Experience with data science platforms (Dataiku would be advantageous).
• Hands-on with Linux, containerized environments, and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AI and Generative AI development patterns (RAG architectures, etc).
• Experience improving data quality, application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks, automation, and defect management in production environments.
• Proven ability to write data mappings, metadata specifications, and functional specifications.
• Comfortable and confident with leading medium-scale features and influencing architectural decisions.
• You will prove to have a strong analytical mindset and be a technically-minded problem solver.
