User Experience (UXR-UX) Researcher

User Experience (UXR - UX) Researcher – Full-Time, Permanent Position - Dentsu Barcelona 

We are seeking a talented User Researcher (UXR) who is eager to step outside of their comfort zone. You should have knowledge of User Experience (UX) Design and User Interface (UI) Design processes, with a clear understanding of how research fits into the broader Digital Product design journey. Our team is highly collaborative, integrated, and values creativity, so you’ll be joining a dynamic environment where lateral thinking and innovation are key to success. 

What You’ll Do: As part of a versatile and decisive team, you will: 

  • Define research studies using a data-driven approach based on both quantitative and qualitative models. 
  • Conduct user-centric research to identify opportunities for improvement and positively impact client KPIs. 
  • Utilize design thinking methodologies to maximize the success of our research projects. 
  • Contribute to the evolution of our methodologies, bringing your unique perspective to enhance the team's vision. 
  • Empathize with users by creating representation models such as empathy maps, personas, user journeys, and more. 
  • Facilitate user tests, focus groups, 1:1 interviews, and other people-focused research studies. 
  • Facilitate prototyping of both medium and high fidelity to test and validate design concepts and variables during the initial research process and through the UX and UI phases. 
  • Generate affinity maps to correlate insights and findings across studies. 
  • Develop clear deliverables and presentations for audiences with diverse backgrounds, making communication a key skill. 

You’ll be involved in a wide range of research activities, such as: 

  • Quantitative data analysis and heuristic evaluations to detect usability opportunities. 
  • Facilitating user testing sessions, heatmap analysis to identify patterns, and cognitive journey mapping with cross-functional teams to swiftly uncover areas for improvement. 
  • Conducting ethnographic studies, desk research, benchmarking, storytelling analysis, and much more. 

Requirements: 

  • Professional experience: At least 3 years of full-time experience in UX, working as part of a team and performing research tasks. Experience in Service Design and UX roles is a plus. 
  • Proven research skills: Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, supported by a strong portfolio. 
  • Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken), with the ability to work in both languages. 
  • Work arrangement: Hybrid model – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. 
  • Location: Must reside in the Barcelona region.

Your responsibilities will include defining information architectures, creating navigation models, developing interactive prototypes, flowcharts, process definition, and implementing responsive and mobile-first designs. Additionally, you will be responsible for mapping customer journeys, conducting heuristic evaluations, defining use cases and user stories, and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative information. 

 

The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a User Experience (UX) Designer and be familiar with User Interface (UI) design. Additionally, they should have the ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative information and experience with agile methodologies.
