We are looking for a Data Engineer who will join our rapidly growing team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, operate, optimize, test, and maintain the businessās data warehouse, as well as develop ETL processes, cube development for database and performance administration, and dimensional designing of table structures
- Drive the full life-cycle of back-end development of the businessās data warehouse, as well as develop ETL processes, cube development for database and performance administration, and dimensional designing of table structures
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
- Define data retention policies
- Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insights into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency and customer acquisition
- Choose and integrate tools for monitoring, managing, alerting, and improving customer database performance
- Develop and implement automated processes that ensure uninterrupted updating and correction of database vulnerabilities
- Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience or over 5 completed projects
- Knowledge of data management fundamentals (data modeling, ELT/ETL, data quality, metadata management, data warehouse/lakes patterns, distributed systems)
- AWS/Azure cloud
- Snowflake and Databricks are must-haves
- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variations among popular databases
- Experience with some modern relational databases
- Knowledge of the programming language Python
