Senior Project Manager - HYDRO POWER DEPARTMENT


the person will act as the main contact point for strategic and cutting-edge projects


Responsibilities:

  • Attend weekly and monthly meetings with the Final Client and Civil/OEM Contractors
  • Facilitate and promote clear communication and coordination within the Project team and facilitate effective communication with the stakeholders.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for OEM Front End Engineering Design (FEED) activities and participate in the technical discussions.
  • Review and provide feedback documentation, as well as relevant Civil FEED documentation and models, from an electromechanical perspective.
  • Provide advice on interfaces between electromechanical and civil design/supply/installation elements, including conducting gap assessments and making recommendations for any missing scope items.
  • Challenge and identify improvements to technical concepts developed by the OEM Contractor (and Civil Contractor when necessary), supported by cost-benefit analysis or other relevant analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Attend and contribute to Project design and safety reviews (online and onsite).
  • Address ad-hoc technical queries from the project team.
  • Identify and contribute to the definition of work packages to define scopes, timeframes, and deliverables, involving Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) when their input, analysis, calculations, reports, etc. are required.
  • Review and actively seek opportunities to improve sustainability.


Requirements:

  • Approximately of 12-15 years of experience in Mechanical engineering, with a proved experience in hydropower projects.
  • A Master's degree in Electro-Mechanical Systems or in Mechanical Engineering is required
  • Strong professional skills in management of takeover from civil construction and material handling and turnover to erection, competence in the site activity planning, scheduling, risk analysis and expert Supervision on material Delivery, assembly and erection of Hydromechanical Equipment and Hydro-Machinery in accordance with OEM’s designs and procedures.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of managing large, complex projects and multidisciplinary teams. Excellent command of English is required
  • Availability to travel (Europe)
