Position Summary
The Senior Computer Vision engineer shall be a seasoned professional with in-depth experience solving engineering problems using computer vision technology, so they can understand space-related vision problems and propose the best approach to take. The candidate shall have a profound understanding of the context of applications (software, technology where the application will be embedded) as well as an understanding of the engineering cycle for its development (prototyping, validation, qualification, verification, etc.) and use this to architect not only the required solutions but also the strategy for its development and deployment. The successful candidate will be working in an interdisciplinary team. The main responsibilities include:
· Serving as the technical expert in the Computer Vision team, with ability to technically lead solutions in this domain,
· Architecting computer vision solutions (algorithms trade-offs, design, selection) and their implementation into embedded space electronics (working with a Flight Software and Hardware Engineers)
· Support various programmes (civil and defence) in the role of CV lead
· Mentoring younger engineers in this discipline
· Lead decisions in advanced applications such as domain adaptation techniques, fusion, etc.
· Implementing best practices, and quality assurance processes within the CV disciplines.
· Participating in reviews, and interfacing with customers in different projects.
We are looking for an engineer with sound science foundations, who understands the fundamental science, technology and implementation of computer vision solutions. We offer a stimulating multi-disciplinary environment and interesting projects to grow your career while contributing to the future of space industry.

· High level of autonomy and strong initiative.
· Experience in using classical (e.g. OpenCV) computer vision algorithms (e.g. filters/kernels, morphological transform, edge detection, etc) applied to concrete problems.
· Experience in using traditional ML algorithms (both supervised and unsupervised) such as GB, RF, SVM, DBSCAN.
· Experience in using advanced DL algorithms such as CNNs, ViT, etc, applied to Computer Vision problems
· Experience in the full lifecycle of computer vision algorithms (trade-offs, selection, training, testing and validation).
· Hands-on experience in data management for machine learning processes: configuration control, experiments tracking, data manipulation, etc in ML frameworks.
· Proficiency with PyTorch and/or Tensorflow as well as hands-on experience with python, computer vision and scientific libraries such as OpenCV, scikit, pandas, scipy, etc.
· Proficiency in git and git workflows.
