CGS provides a broad range of ICT Services focusing on: Cloud, Data Centre operations, Networking, Cybersecurity, BI and Data Warehouse, Big Data, Service Desk, Proactive Monitoring, Operations and Support, Service Management, Project and Programme Management, and Professional Services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical consultancy and support for the Dissemination and Publishing IT systems of the OP (e.g. EUR-Lex, EU Law Tracker,
- Monitor and analyse system logs (preferably using CloudWatch or Dynatrace) and prepare related reports and statistics (ideally with PIWIK or BI tools)
- Handle IT system incidents, investigate root causes, and ensure timely resolution
- Test new functionalities, identify and document issues, and follow up on their resolution
- Coordinate the reception, validation, and testing of new releases using CI/CD pipelines (preferably on Bitbucket and/or GitLab)
- Work with IT systems hosted in cloud environments (preferably AWS) and apply established change-management procedures
- Create and maintain database scripts and Linux/Unix scripts
- Analyse, design, and contribute to the evolution of IT systems
- Provide 2nd-level technical support to users, including troubleshooting functional and non-functional issues related to HTML, XML, and CSS
- Create, manage, and follow up on tickets with users and service providers
- Draft and review technical and functional/non-functional specifications in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and Operations teams
- Actively participate in technical working groups and meetings with project teams, developers, stakeholders, and non-technical users
- Deliver training sessions and demonstrations to internal teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Understanding of network components and topologies
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience on automated testing
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT, of which:
- 3 years in monitoring and analysing system logs and in Incident and Problem Management (ITIL)
- 3 years in testing and validating functional and non-functional requirements
- 3 years of drafting technical and functional/non-functional specifications
- 3 years of working in Project Management roles
- 2 year using services provided in the Cloud
- 2 years in release management with experience in setting up and configuring CI/CD pipelines
- 1 year in database and network management.
