Senior PHP Developer - Core PHP, AWS, K8s, Docker - Amsterdam - Product [OTE 80K]

Are you an experienced PHP developer looking for a technically challenging role? Do you want to work on the core of a complex content-creation platform used by a million+ users worldwide?

My client is a leading software company with 70+ technicians spread spread across offices in Amsterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht. They build software with their flagship product being a powerful core server running on a custom PHP framework. Their clientele exists out of well-established international brands and household names. The organisation is currently in the middle of a cloud transition.

This is you:

a senior PHP developer to strengthen their Amsterdam-based team. You’ll join a team of 8-person DevOps team responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising the core functionality of the platform.

You have solid experience with PHP development and a strong understanding of core PHP concepts. You’re comfortable working on complex integrations, with exposure to AWS, Docker and Kubernetes as a plus. You communicate clearly in English, are used to working in Agile/Scrum teams, and enjoy mentoring junior developers. You’re open to a hybrid setup, with at least 2 days per week in the Amsterdam office.

Furthermore:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with PHP
• Experience working with AWS-based cloud environments
• Experience using Docker in production
• Proven experience mentoring junior developers
• Experience setting up and working with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with automated testing

Benefits:
