We're looking for a Mid Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript) with at least 4 years of work experience.

Location: Setúbal Region | Hybrid (3–4 days onsite) | Direct Contract with End Client or B2B Contract!

Salary range: 35k - 55k / year (Permanent) | 280€/ day (B2B)


We are looking for a Backend Developer to join a product-focused tech company building mission-critical digital platforms used in real operational environments.

This role is backend-driven and suited for engineers who value clean architecture, data consistency, and real ownership, working closely with the product and decision-making.


Work Model

  • Hybrid: minimum 3 days onsite (up to 4, depending on the team)
  • Setúbal region
  • Office presence is required and non-negotiable


Your Role (Backend-Focused)

  • Design, build and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
  • Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, focusing on data modeling, performance, and reliability
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs
  • Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams, with backend ownership
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical improvements
  • Support integrations across multiple platforms and systems


What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js (at least 4 years of work experience)
  • Experience with TypeScript in production environments
  • Solid knowledge of MongoDB and PostgreSQL
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs
  • Comfortable working in a product team with on-site collaboration
  • Pragmatic mindset: build, improve, iterate


Nice to have:

  • Experience with Python
  • Familiarity with structured backend frameworks (e.g. NestJS)
  • Exposure to cloud environments
