About the Role

We’re building a focused, high-quality team to work with large, messy, unconventional datasets. The work is research-driven, engineering-heavy, and largely greenfield. We’re hiring experienced researchers and engineers to design and build the data and ML foundations of a long-term technical effort.

What You’ll Do

• Work with high-volume, multimodal, unstructured data
• Build ML models, research pipelines, and experimental workflows
• Design data systems that support rigorous, repeatable experimentation
• Investigate model behaviour, signal quality, and data structure
• Translate research ideas into scalable, production-grade components

Data Researcher

• Explore complex datasets and design experiments
• Build early-stage ML prototypes
• Senior researchers set research direction and methodology

Data Scientist / ML Engineer

• Build pipelines, ingestion workflows, and model-ready datasets
• Design and scale data and ML systems
• Senior hires architect large-scale platforms and guide technical strategy

Who Thrives Here

• Strong Python and ML fundamentals
• Experience with large, messy, or unstructured datasets
• Comfort with ambiguity and open-ended research problems
• Ability to think in systems and reason scientifically
• Clear evidence of exceptional ability: research, competitions, open-source work, or standout projects

Likely Not a Fit If Your Background Is Mainly

• BI, reporting, dashboards, or KPI work
• Analysis limited to clean, pre-shaped datasets
• Survey programming or routine ETL
• Finance-first or spreadsheet-heavy analysis
• LLM prompting without underlying ML depth
• Coursework-only ML experience
