Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Android Developer to support a new Faster Payments initiative and contribute to ongoing mobile backlog delivery. This role will focus on building and enhancing Android mobile applications, designing technical solutions, and ensuring quality, security, compliance, accessibility, and test coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance Android mobile application features
• Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications
• Develop solutions using industry best practices and modern Android frameworks
• Ensure security, quality, compliance, accessibility, and testing standards are met
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Front-end, and Back-end teams
• Support ongoing backlog and occasional ad hoc mobile development needs

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience
• 5+ years of Kotlin development experience
• 3+ years of RxJava, OkHttp, and Retrofit (recent project experience required)
• 3+ years of experience with MVP and MVVM architectures
• 3+ years of experience with accessibility and testing
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• GitFlow and Bitbucket experience
• Google Play Store launch experience
• Banking/financial services experience
