Pay Rate: $39-$40/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Job Description

• We are looking for a hand on experienced User Interface/experience (UI/UX) Developer/Programmer who can drive and advance our next generation modern digital workplace technology digital initiatives.
• This person will be the lead resource for communicating and working with business & technology end users to create and support holistic solutions for some high visibility on-going projects.
• As a UI/UX Developer you’ll be responsible creating ADA compliant Mobile/Web experiences working with fullstack application development teams and Adobe DXP/AEM/Analytics stack would be a plus.
• The developer needs to have a keen understanding ADA/Accessibility compliance standards and platforms(Eg SiteImprove) (ADA/WCAG etc) and mitigation best practices to meet application/code compliance on modern web technology stacks especially front-end programming.

Tasks and Responsibilities:·

• Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs standards.
• Act as designer-developer, switching hats in both the areas of design & develop, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision making for some high visibility on-going projects.
• Create clean semantic HTML markup that passes WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards & compliance. Provide development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates Collaborate with analysts, developers and architects for successful implementation and component requirements Remain current on user interface framework trends and programming techniques and suggest or research on new tools and methods as needed.
• Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-ups. Design and develop UI and UX interfaces and assist with new user interface testing or participate in usability reviews. Hands on development on front end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, Jquery etc).
• Provide responsive websites apps development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.
• Act as designer-developer, switching hats in both the areas of design & develop, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision making for some high visibility on-going projects. Develop reusable and responsive, interactive patterns and code libraries that meet the highest W3 standards for HTML,Javascript and CSS. Collaborate with business analysts, senior developers and architects for successful implementation and component requirements in a SDLC process.
• Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of frontend designs into the JS/Java codebase.
• Participate in conceptualizing, prioritizing, and creating strategies for the product UX. Develop well-structured and maintainable code that follows the best practices and industry.standards Work with team members to develop UI prototypes as necessary and validate ideas with a data-driven approach.
• Design and develop UI and UX interfaces to meet standards and requiremnts. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Remain current on user interface trends and programming techniques and suggest new tools and methods as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School or GED
• Deep experience in front-end web application development with strong hands on programming experience with atleast one language Java, Javascript, React, VUE, Angular on LAMP/MEAN/MERN stack is required.
• Experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end user needs
• Knowledge and software development with Adobe Experience Manager ,SharePoint and WordPress CMS will be a plus.
• History of working with cross functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end user needs
• Experience with communicating and working with business, technology users to create holistic solutions
• Skills, knowledge, and experience using end to end Human centered design-HCD techniques including design, research, and usability

Preferred Qualifications

• UI/UX design or web developer certifications & training
• Previous experience of the Electric and Gas Utility Industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or applicable business degree from an accredited university OR Relevant business technical experience
• Exposure to front end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, Jquery etc).
• Experience working within agile ceremonies and methodologies
