The Scrum Master is a key member of the Technology team, responsible for overseeing or driving the planning, execution, and coordination of smaller projects or standard complexity teams. This role focuses on delivery and execution, in partnership with product management and engineering, monitoring progress, and promoting agile best practices within the team to ensure successful outcomes.

A day in the life as a Scrum Master...

  • Oversee or drive the planning, execution, and coordination of smaller technology projects or manage standard complexity agile teams (as a Scrum Master)

  • Partner with product management and engineering to ensure clear scope, requirements, and delivery timelines

  • Focus on effective delivery and execution, ensuring projects meet their objective

  • Monitor project/team progress, identify risks and impediments, and report status to stakeholdersPromote and facilitate agile best practices within the team, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication to all involved stakeholders

  • Contribute to the improvement of project management and agile processes

  • Mentor junior Agile Project Managers or team members on agile practices as needed

  • 5+ years of experience in a technology environment

  • 3+ years of experience in program management, project management, or as a Scrum Master

  • Proficiency in agile and project tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

  • Experience with project and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
