Role Purpose

The Director, Centre of Excellence is responsible for establishing, leading, and governing enterprise-wide Centres of Excellence that drive standardization, efficiency, capability building, and value creation across the airport development and management portfolio. The role ensures best practices in strategy execution, business excellence, project delivery, change management, and innovation are consistently applied across all functions and projects.

This role acts as the enterprise owner of CoE frameworks, methodologies, and performance standards, enabling scalable growth, operational excellence, and successful transformation.


Job Scope

Key Accountabilities

CoE Leadership & Governance

  • Define and implement the enterprise CoE vision, mandate, and operating model.
  • Establish governance structures to ensure consistent application of CoE standards across the organization.
  • Oversee multiple CoE functions (e.g., Strategy, Business Excellence, PMO, Change, Digital/Innovation as applicable).
  • Ensure alignment between CoE activities and corporate strategy, development priorities, and operational objectives.

Enterprise Excellence & Standardization

  • Champion enterprise-wide standardization of processes, tools, methodologies, and performance metrics.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in airport development, project delivery, operations, and corporate functions.
  • Ensure lessons learned, knowledge management, and continuous improvement are embedded across the organization.

Transformation & Value Realization

  • Oversee enterprise transformation initiatives to ensure delivery of intended benefits and value.
  • Monitor performance, maturity, and effectiveness of CoE-led initiatives.
  • Provide strategic advice to executive leadership on organizational effectiveness and transformation readiness.

Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Building

  • Partner with senior leadership to embed a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead capability-building programs and professional development across CoE domains.
  • Represent the organization in external forums related to excellence, transformation, and best practice.


Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications in excellence, quality, project management, or transformation are an advantage.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise excellence, transformation, or large-scale program management.
  • Proven experience establishing and leading Centres of Excellence in complex, asset-intensive organizations.
  • Experience within airports, aviation, infrastructure, construction, transport, or large public-sector entities is highly desirable.
  • Strong executive-level exposure and board interaction experience.
