The position is located in İstanbul


Job Description

  • Responsible for building the data pipeline and automatize statistical data extraction for a pool of business sectors/factories/suppliers of finished products,
  • Understanding of the business, demand and general supply chain processes, and data science related topics such as data systems and business reporting and KPIs,
  • The aims to improve the forecast accuracy of the statistical demand forecast,
  • Produce actionable insights and send tangible data-driven recommendations to support the decision-making in the supply chain,
  • Interacts with people in different organizational units around the world, such as Branches, demand planning teams, Marketing and Shipping Departments, as well as HQ, to execute forecast generation and meet targets defined by the manager and company,
  • Continuous improvement and improvements for the statistical forecast generation tracking forecast value add KPI,
  • Independently perform end-to-end data science tasks (including data exploration, data cleaning, modeling, and data visualization) to support the digitalization initiatives in supply chain, and monthly mathematical forecast generation tasks,
  • Develop web applications that enable business owners to interact with developed models and/or results from the studies of the Central Demand Planning team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Bioinformatics, Applied Math, Finance or Engineering Departments, Computer Science, Computational Science and Engineering
  • Having 2 – 8 years of experience as a data scientist or analyst in a multinational organization,
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English,
  • Experience in data wrangling and predictive modeling using the open-source programming languages Python,
  • Experience in querying databases using SQL,
  • Experience in using web services: AWS, Redshift, S3, Spark, Digital Ocean.
  • Experience in creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks,
  • Excellent analytical, relational and negotiation skills, and problem-solving skills.
