Job Description: Full Stack Software Engineer

Position Summary
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to work within a supportive team, building technology that is the backbone of our investments business. You will play a crucial role contributing to the success of our firm by building out the technological foundations to take the business to the next level. You will get the opportunity to work with other technologists, portfolio managers and other investment professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, build and develop scalable, high-performance applications from the ground up across frontend and backend.
- Manage our AWS infrastructure.
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders and manage vendor relationships.
- Identify and resolve technical gaps or performance bottlenecks.
About You
We’re looking for problem solvers and creative thinkers who are keen to explore a new set of real-world problems with the following:
- Strong CS fundamentals (data structures + algorithms)
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience
- Backend development experience (Java, C#, Python, etc)
- Experience with API design and designing performant systems
- Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, etc)
- Experience with various AWS services (ECS, EC2, SQS, etc)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
Nice to Haves
- Real-time application development experience, websockets/message brokers
- Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
- Experience in greenfield builds and designing applications from scratch
Our stack is Python + Django + Postgres hosted on AWS with QT as our frontend, we intend to migrate the frontend to React + Typescript.
While experience in capital markets will be favoured, it is not a requirement for this role. This role would suit someone with 3-7 years of experience who enjoys building software and shipping iteratively.
