I am supporting a global consumer brand that is building a brand new engineering team focused on redefining how people move through next generation digital experiences. This team functions as an internal innovation lab, exploring AI, AR, emerging mobile technologies and creative product thinking to build experiences that do not exist today.

They are looking for a Lead Mobile Engineer who will drive technical strategy across multiple experimental projects while staying hands on, working inside a small cross functional group of product, design and engineering talent. If you enjoy working in environments with ambiguity, fast iteration and true greenfield building, this is a brilliant opportunity.

• Lead mobile technical strategy and execution across multiple initiatives
• Take ownership in uncertain problem spaces and help find clarity
• Operate as a key member of a tight cross functional team
• Help foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement
• Explore emerging technologies and share knowledge across the wider organisation
• Partner closely with product and design to deliver innovative mobile experiences
• Improve engineering productivity through tools such as AI coding agents
• Help define best practice for scalability, quality and system design

⭐ What They Are Looking For

• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Strong experience building high quality mobile applications
• Experience in fast paced environments such as start ups or creative agencies
• Hands on experience with at least two of Flutter, Swift or Kotlin
• Strong sense for detail, UI craft and visual quality
• Ability to design brand new systems from scratch
• Comfortable operating in areas with uncertainty and discovery
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Experience with AR, wearables or voice assistants is a big plus
• Experience with Agentic AI or Model Context Protocol is a plus
• Experience with GraphQL and Federation is also a plus
